Sample Schedule for Ranch Escape Packages

Your Ranch Escape Package will include activities and meals listed below.  Activities are subject to change, depending on seasonal conditions.  When you make reservations for your package, meal reservations will automatically be made for you.  However, we are also open to the public for meals, conferences, and overnight reservations.  When you make reservations for the Escape Package, we automatically make reservations for meals and activities according to the schedule listed below.  Our office will contact you 1-2 weeks prior to your arrival to confirm booked activities and meals, as times and availability can sometimes change.  Reservations for the Escape Package must be made a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.  Read more about the Ranch Escape Package.

This schedule is used as an outline for reservations from September to May!  Activities may be substituted for seasonal conditions.

Sunday (no horseback rides today)
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
Sack lunch (to be picked up at breakfast)
No dinner at the Vee Bar.  Dinner options in Centennial (7 miles) or Laramie (20 miles).

 

Monday
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
9:30—Hike/Snowshoe Excursion in the mountains (guided, transportation provided)
Lunch (sack lunch for you to enjoy in the mountains, at your cabin, or in the lodge)
1:30 Horseback ride
3:30 Trapshooting
6:00 Dinner at the lodge
Optional camping in a wagon (equipment provided; no heat)

 

Tuesday
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
9:30—Hike/Snowshoe excursion in the mountains (guided, transportation provided)
Lunch (sack lunch for you to enjoy in the mountains, at your cabin, or in the lodge)
1:30 Horseback ride
3:30 Fly fishing demonstration
6:00 Dinner at the lodge

 

Wednesday
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
9:30 Horseback ride OR Archery lessons and Mounted Archery (on our dummy barrel horse)
12:00 Lunch in the lodge
1:30 Horseback ride
4:30 Wagon ride through the Vee Bar Meadows
6:00 Dinner
7:00 Fire at the pit and s’mores

 

Thursday
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
9:30 Horseback ride
Lunch (sack lunch for you to enjoy in the mountains, at your cabin, or in the lodge)
1:30 Horseback ride OR afternoon hike/snowshoe
3:30 Trapshooting
6:00 Dinner
Optional camping in a wagon (equipment provided, no heat)

 

Friday
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
9:30 Hike/Snowshoe excursion (in the mountains; transportation provided)
Or
9:30 Horseback ride
12:00 Lunch in the lodge
1:30 Horseback ride

6:00 Cocktail hour in the John Wayne Saloon

Saturday
8:00—9:00 Breakfast
9:30 Hike/Snowshoe excursion (in the mountains; transportation provided)
Or
9:30 Horseback ride
Lunch (sack lunch for you to enjoy in the mountains, at your cabin, or in the lodge)
1:30 Sledding in the mountains (sleds provided)
6:00 Cocktail hour in the John Wayne Saloon
7:00 Dinner

Package Notes:

  • Check in time is after 3:00 p.m.
  • Check out time on the day of your departure is 10:00 a.m.
  • Activities and meals after 3:00 on the day of your arrival are included in your package.
  • On the day of your departure, only breakfast and a morning activity is included.  You can add additional meals/activities on the day of your departure for an additional fee—inquire at the office.
  • Rides that are listed above, at the times listed above are included in your package.  If you want to add rides (to ride multiple times per day where it is not listed as an option) a fee of $50 per person, per ride will apply, if there is availability.  No fee will apply if the ride is rescheduled by the Vee Bar for reasons relating to weather and such.
  • Snowshoe excursions and hikes that are listed above, at the times listed above are included in your package.  If you want to add hikes/snowshoeing a fee of $100 per person will apply.  No fee will apply if the hike/trip is rescheduled by the Vee Bar for reasons relating to weather and such.
  • Reservations are required for meals (except breakfast) and activities listed above—reservations are made for you when you make package reservations. Please advise if you plan to eat any meals off-site!
  • Off-property ala carte activities are available and require their own reservations! Read more about what you can add ala carte to your vacation!  Ask our office if you need help making additional arrangements.
