Your guest ranch vacation will be loosely based on the schedule below. It naturally includes activities such as horseback riding, hayrides, cattle work and plenty of good eats! Don’t forget, you can do as much or as little as you want!

Your guest ranch vacation will be loosely based on the schedule below. It naturally includes activities such as horseback riding, hayrides, cattle work and plenty of good eats!  The schedule is subject to change.  Please contact the office a couple weeks prior to your stay if you are interested in receiving a more accurate schedule.

Don’t forget, you can do as much or as little as you want!  The activities listed in the schedule below are only the ones that get a time assigned to them.  Other activities such as river tubing, archery, fishing, pasture golf, the outdoor hot tub, a pool table, lawn games, and much more are available anytime of day!  You can also take a drive to the Snowy Range Mountains or into Laramie museums and attractions.  The possibilities are endless and we are here to make sure you get the most out of your vacation!  Just ask us and we are happy to assist!

SUNDAY
8:00Breakfast (for Sat. night B&B guests)
Ask about a self-guided tour to Medicine Bow Mountains, Encampment, and Saratoga Hot Springs
The Vee Bar will provide you with a map and information—please make request for information ahead of time.

MONDAY
7:00Guided fishing (please sign up—max of 4 people)—meet in the main lodge
8:00Breakfast
9:20Orientation ride (Group A)
9:45Orientation ride (Group B)
9:30Morning walk/tour around Vee Bar Meadows (non-riders)- meet in front of the saloon
12:00Lunch
1:30Horseback Ride
Van to Snowies sightsee (big snow!), sled, walk, relax, etc.- meet in front of the saloon
4:00Fly fishing demonstration and lessons—meet in the yard in front of the lodge
5:00Cocktail/social hour in the John Wayne Saloon
5:30Wagon Ride pulled by Goliath and Decker and live entertainment- meet at the saloon
6:00Grill-Your-Own Steak Dinner on the Island
7:30Campfire and Movie Under the Stars, don’t forget volleyball, horseshoes, and other lawn games, too!
TUESDAY
7:00Guided fishing (please sign up—max of 4 people)—meet in the main lodge
8:00Breakfast
9:00Hike in the Snowy Range Mountains- meet in front of the saloon
9:30Morning Horseback Ride
12:00Lunch
1:00Trapshooting (ages 12 and older)- meet in front of the saloon (you will be done in time to ride)
1:30Horseback Ride or Team Penning cattle
2:15Advanced Trap (ages 12 and older, you must have gone at 1:00, and be able to hit the moving target!)
5:00Working Sheep Dog Demonstration—walk to outdoor arena
6:00Dinner
7:00Swing dance and line dance lessons (meet at the barn, upstairs in the loft)
8:00Barn dance!
WEDNESDAY
7:00Guided fishing (please sign up—max of 4 people)—meet in the main lodge
8:00Breakfast
9:30Depart for Mountain Ride. Riders will traverse mountain terrain, take in excellent sights, and picnic in the great outdoors! Meet in front of the saloon
9:30Non-riders depart for hike at Vedawoo--meet in front of the saloon
12:00Sack Lunch in the mountains (riders)
3:00Check-in for mid-week guests
3:00Mountain ride returns to Vee Bar
3:30Orientation ride for new guests--meet at the barn
4:30Archery (from ground and mounted archery from the mobile dummy horse)—meet in front of the saloon
5:00Cocktails in the John Wayne saloon
6:00Dinner
7:15Guided fly fishing (please sign up—max of 4 people)—meet at the north entrance of main lodge
7:15Cowboy Mounted Shooting demonstration and rodeo queen autographs and photos (outdoor arena)
7:30Roping Demonstration; walk to outdoor arena
THURSDAY
8:00Breakfast
9:30Morning ride—Cattle Work at Hecht Creek Ranch- meet van in front of the saloon
12:30Lunch
1:30Trapshooting (ages 12 and over)- meet in front of the saloon
3:30Depart for ride to camp, or hike at Deerwood (non-riders)-- meet van in front of the saloon
4:30van departs for Cook Out (non-riders & kids under 6)- meet van in front of the saloon
6:00Campfire Dinner on the Range, lawn games, cowboy music by Brent
8:30Van back to Vee Bar (or camp on the range)
FRIDAY
7:30Guided fly fishing at the Vee Bar (sign up—4 people max) *You would not return to camp this a.m.*
7:30(time approximation) Morning Yoga at camp (for guests at camp)
8:00Breakfast on the Range (or continental breakfast at the Vee Bar with prior arrangements)
9:00Morning ride back from camp (riders)
12:00Lunch at the Vee Bar
1:30Team Penning OR Horseback ride at the Vee Bar
5:30Cocktails and live music in the Saloon
5:30Cocktails and band in the Saloon
6:30Steak Dinner
Music continues after dinner, and you won’t want to miss the Golden Horseshoe Awards!
SATURDAY
B&B option tonight, so some of the locals may join us for a night

10:00Morning Horseback Ride $100 per person—Sign up required! (no afternoon ride offered)

Miscellaneous Notes:

  • Ideal arrival day for the six-night package is Sunday.
  • 3-night minimum stay required (exception is a one-night B&B option on Saturdays)
  • Activities on the day of your departure are not included in your package (but can possibly be added on for an additional charge and if space allows).
  • Activities after 3:00 on the day of your arrival are included in your package (but you can add activities for an additional charge if you are interested and if there is availability).
  • Otherwise, activities listed above are included in package price.
  • Other guest ranch vacation options nearby (for an additional charge off-property) include ATV’s, mountain bikes, massages, *river floating and rafting trips.
