What’s Happening Now
There’s so much going on at the Vee Bar Guest Ranch that it can sometimes be a bit confusing as to what is going on now. We will keep this page updated so you are sure if it’s Bed & Breakfast season, or if it’s warm enough to float the river, time to sign up for the dude ranch vacation of a lifetime, or more.
More Activities: Fishing | Kids Program | Archery | Trap Shooting | River Tubing
Please note, our office hours are irregular Thanksgiving week and around the Christmas holiday. Please email us for the quickest response. Our office hours during December are Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mountain Time.
Now Booking 2026 Summer Guest Ranch Vacation Packages
Don’t wait to plan your 2026 vacation and get your choice of dates while they last! Space fills up fast! Summer guest ranch packages are available June through September.
Activities
Downhill skiing is the star of the show, but while you are visiting the ranch you can also ice skate and sled (bring a pair of skates and a sled), snowmobile, and enjoy cross country skiing. There are an assortment of animals on the ranch, and you can also walk through our meadows. Laramie also has it’s share of events, UW sports, and downtown attractions. We are open for B&B right now, so use us as a hub for your own adventure–or relax on the ranch with a beautiful view of the river, in front of a crackling fire.
Kids Birthday Parties
We are no strangers to hosting a fun party! Why not rent the indoor arena for your kids’ party? Rent a horse for lead-around rides, play games in the sand, and use the tiled space to open presents and serve food/cake. Different packages provide an array of fun–from dressing up a horse and riding horses to simply having a large space to run around and play games on foot. Make it a barn birthday!
Ranch Tours–Calving Season Operations (calving season has not started–check back next
March/April)
Tours are given on foot and will be through calving corrals (wear boots that you don’t mind getting cow poop on). Tours will be limited in size and it will work to your advantage to schedule a tour ahead of time. Maybe you’ll see a cow giving birth, maybe you’ll learn about what it takes to nurture a newborn calf, or maybe you’ll simply see how the whole operation works. In any case, we can’t plan around Mother Nature or the cows’ schedule so the tour content will be raw and real. Guests on the tour should be prepared to see blood, a sick or injured animal, and other ranch happenings that you just can’t plan for! Tours will be given by either our ranch foreman or owners and questions are welcome. All ages are welcome, but children need to be accompanied by an adult. Smaller children (think 5 and under) may need to be carried and will need to be kept from running around the animals. Call the office to inquire and schedule your tour.
